Abstract

In the history of pastoral services in the Catholic Church, clerics or spiritual ministers are ordained, inseparable from the life and development of the Church herself. They are successors of the Apostles who took part in the mission of Christ, and they must be incardinated to one of the particular churches. Incardination itself is the canonical institution refers to the situation of clergy being placed under the jurisdiction of a particular bishop or other ecclesiastical superior. Incardination contributes to the faithful, specifically to the existence of a stable and permanent cleric in ministry in a diocese. As an old juridical institution in canonical legislation, incardination itself has an evolution in the development of canon law, both in the Latin Church or even the Oriental Church.
