Abstract

In Papua live more than 50 Christian denominations of Catholics, Reformed, Calvinist, Baptists, Evangelical, Pentecostal denominations, and Adventists of Seventh Day. In a going-on hibrid sosiety affected by globalism and expansive developments ecumenical movement is a must. However, in Papua this ecumenical movement looks fragile as most chucrches have just been going out of their tribal or regional churches since they found themselves in front of social problems.  This movement needs to be founded on solid theology of ecumenism and appropriate skills of cultivating diversity in its orientation to universal humanity
