Abstract

Elderly people are proud of their traditional customs as the ideal process of education. Is it really a perfect and complete process and relevant to the recent world?
The ‘informal education’ in traditional society which used to be done in their ordinary life can be characterized as ‘learning by doing’. Actually, this kind of process has led children to know what they have to do to solve their practical and actual problems. The ‘formal education’ which was done particularly in the process of initiation can be considered as a holistic, mythic, and dogmatic substance, with a dicipline and indoctrinative sphere in method. This kind of education type has been challenged by the complexity of modern industrial world which is termed rationality, efficiency, and speciality.
